Joe Rooney, president and founder of Rooney Associates, Inc., has served in the retained executive search market for twenty-seven years. Rooney’s high-touch, collaborative approach combines a deep appreciation of the dynamics of the culture within a company with an understanding of the talents and temperaments necessary to succeed there. The results of his highly personal service include the successful placement of hundreds of c-level executives, vice presidents and directors across a range of Fortune 50 companies and start-ups in industries such as technology, consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, financial services, banking, telecom, retail and manufacturing.
Mr. Rooney’s expertise in the Sales & Marketing, General Management segment of executive search is based on years of experience both in the placement business and as a sales & marketing professional with Hilton Hotels Corporation. These dual roles give Rooney a unique perspective from both sides of the search table and give him an uncommon understanding of the way people and companies fit together.
Rooney is active in his community as well having served as an instructor in hotel management at the College of DuPage in suburban Chicago. He also holds a B.S. in psychology.
